Baby it's cold outside

Face: Clinique Redness Solutions Daily Protective Base, Estee Lauder Double Wear, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle, Bourjois blusher in Rose Ambre.
Eyes: Mac Set To Dance eyeshadow, Collection 2000 Big Fake mascara
Lips: Chanel Hydrabase lipstick in Rouge Noir

I did intend to do an outfit post today but the light is being a pain, so you've just got a make up one instead. Today has been such a lazy day complete with big cardis, slipper socks and chipped nail varnish. If you live in the UK you'll probably know how ridiculously cold it's been this weekend, it's -1°C at the moments and this is the warmest it's been since Saturday. Last night it was -10°C and apparently its -20°C in Wales! I've never ever known it to be this cold before but I love it! It snowed a little Saturday morning and it's supposed to be quite heavy tomorrow :)

I know a lot of you keep asking me for make-up tutorials, and honestly I'd love to do them, but as I said before my digital camera (the one I've been recording on so far) is just not good enough quality. I'm on the lookout for a camcorder though, but I'm struggling to find what I want, if any of you could help me that would be great. I'd like a HD cam with a good auto focus, either built in memory or SD slot, for under £100. Any suggestions?

Post modern girls

Dress: Primark. Coat: Next. Scarf: Stolen from my mom.
Necklace: Vintage. Ring. Topshop. Nails: Ciate Main Stage.

I'm cheating with this post because this is actually what I wore yesterday. I took these photos in the morning before work and didn't have chance to post it then, my parents met me straight from work and we went to watch the Christmas lights being turned on in town then for a meal.
I bought this dress at the weekend, because I love the black one I have so much, I may go back and get the red one too, it would be great for when I dress up as an elf at work on Christmas Eve. This is my favourite ever coat, I bought it a few years ago from Next but I love tartan and the shape.. it's a classic.

Face: Clinique Redness Solutions Daily Protective Base, Estee Lauder Double Wear, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle, Bourjois blusher in Rose Ambre.
Eyes: Mac 6 Twists Of Tartan eye shadow palette, Diorshow Blackout mascara.
Lips: Illamasqua lipstick in Resist (won in Jennie's givaway).

I'm going to London tomorrow to take a look around Middlesex Uni, as it'll probably be my only chance before I go in January. I have to be there at half 10 in the morning though and it takes about 2 hours to get there.. meaning I probably shouldn't go out tonight, but I can sleep in the car, right?

Hope you all have great weekends :)

Vlog: Monthly Favourites November 2010

I love watching monthly favourite videos so I thought I'd start doing my own.
I've had a lot of requests for make up tutorials, I have tried but my camera just isn't good enough quality, so until I get a better one they will have to wait.
Any other video requests?

Swing Life Away

Top: Topshop. Dress: Asda. Tights: Primark.
Necklace & Bracelet: Forever 21. Ring: Asos.

I love this top, I went through a few weeks of wearing it non-stop (not literally!), it's kind of gothic but in a really simple way.

I went to Forever 21 in Birmingham on Friday, I can't actually believe how big it is.. my friend and I were in there for two and a half hours before we lost the will to live and went for something to eat. It's amazing though, much better than it all looks online, it's nicely merchandised and there's lots of helpful staff (maybe a few too many!), even the fitting rooms are pretty. The only things I didn't like were the heat (annoying in all of the Bullring) and the sizing issues. They're obviously importing from the same place they do for the US stores so everything is in American sizes. This is ok for me, as I've done buying appointments and worked in retail for years so I can easily convert it but my friend was struggling to figure it all out. I didn't end up getting too much as I'm trying to save for Uni, I got a few tops and some jewellery. The accessories are amazing! I could have spent a whole day on that floor alone.. definitely worth a trip to Birmingham if you're from further afield!

I did mention on twitter on Friday night that I'd had a bit of a mental night. We met a friend from after our Forever 21 spree and had a bite to eat in Nandos then went for a drink at the Arcadian. We were just having a quiet chat when four guys aged between about fourty and fifty-five came and sat in our booth and wouldn't leave us alone for about an hour. We finally escaped and got on the train home where a drunken old man came staggering over to us and kept trying to touch my legs where slurring some strange sentences. The carriage was completely full yet no one tried to help or said anything to him - charming! And just before our stop some other guy sat in front of us and kept staring back and winking. Overall creepy night!

Crosstown Traffic

T-Shirt: Asos. Cardigan: Asos. Leggings: Primark.
Socks: Asos. Boots: TK Maxx. Ring: Asos.

Some things I ordered from Asos came today, the quickest delivery I've ever known with the free option, so I thought I'd put them all together in an outfit post. It's the first time I've ever tried socks on show, I always love it on other people but didn't think it would work on me, but I'm kind of liking it with these boots, the fairisle print is perfect too.

Sorry about the terrible picture quality, I officially give up with camera settings and stupid winter light.
I've been getting a lot of requests for make-up tutorial videos, so I tried to film one today but it cut out half way through then when I watched back what it did record it had make me look bright yellow. Basically, it seems all technology hates me.. so glad I'm doing a computing degree!

I won Jennie's giveaway yesterday, so so happy! Her blog is definitely one of my favourites which makes it even better :). Speaking of giveaways, I cannot believe I'm nearly at 300 followers! When (if) I reach that milestone I'll be doing a giveaway of my own, so if you're not already following, get on it!!

Lost Cause

Dress: TK Maxx. Tights: Primark.
Ring: Asos.

I'm having one of those days where I just look wierd in photos. I love this dress but I'm finding it difficult to style so I just kept it simple today with thick grey tights and silver jewellery. You probably saw this ring in my video and on about every other blogger in the world.. it's great though and really comfortable, which I didn't expect for a two-finger ring.

I've had the worst day at work today, I was in the photo studio from 10-5 photographing product to go on our online shop. I can cope with a few hours but any more than that and I go slightly mad. I also had about 10 arguments with my boss, then fell up the stairs and punched the wall really hurting my hand. So all in all.. fantastic day!

Does anyone else watch Miranda? I caught a glimpse of the episode on tv the other night but I'm one of those people who can't watch a film or programme half way through an episode or series so I looked it up online and watched them all from the beginning. It's so funny! I spend the whole time cringing, I think her life might even be slightly more embarrassing than mine! Oooh I love Gary too :)

A lot of bloggers seem to be getting some really creepy questions on formspring including me, but if you have any proper ones you can ask them here.

Anything Goes

T-Shirt: Asos. Belt: Cheeky Buddha. Skirt: George @ Asda.
Coat: George @ Asda. Boots: eBay.

Not a very interesting one today, but it was definitely the coldest morning so far this year and I put a few layers underneath this tee. This was the one I mentioned in the video that was missing from my ultimate bargain Asos shop! I love the shape but I wish I'd got a size smaller, I know it's supposed to be oversized but it just looks too big without the belt.
I've wanted some pixie boots for ages, but I've only found the style I like in Topshop and I'm not willing to pay £60+ for their bad quality shoes. I had a search on eBay and found these for around £20, they're not leather but they seem well made and are literally the comfiest things I've ever put on my feet. They also kept me from falling over in the ice, which is a bloody miracle with my clumsiness!

Thank you for all your comments on the last post! I'm hoping the blog will improve when I move to London and take some exciting new directions!

Egos like hairdos

Hair: L'OrealCasting Creme Gloss in 550 Mahogany.
Face:
Clinique Redness Solutions Daily Protective Base, Eyeko Extra Glow Cream, Estee Lauder Double Wear, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle, Bourjois blusher in Peach Glow.
Eyes: Clinique Eyeshadow in Teddy Bear in brows, Mac Eyeshadow in Lady's Prance, Bourjois Metallise eyeliner in 54 Bleu Clinquant, Diorshow Blackout mascara.
Lips: Mac Cremesheen Glass in Double Dare.

Today I'm debuting my new hair colour! It's not quite as red as I wanted but my hair was still dark from when I dyed it last time. I also thought I'd experiment with a bit of aqua liner, what else are lazy Sundays for? I kind of like it though, I might try it if I'm wearing an all black outfit to brighten it up a bit.

I have big big exciting news! I applied for a computing degree at Middlesex University to start in January as I didn't want to wait another year but I didn't expect to get in, as it's a harder course and my A Levels results weren't great. But I worked a lot on my personal statement and received my acceptance letter on Thursday!!
So, that means I'm moving to London in two months time!! Eeeek! Just got to sort out student finance and my accommodation now..

One more time with feeling..

Jumper: Vintage. Jeans: Dorothy Perkins.
Nails: Topshop Gypsy Night.

I did quite a lot of blog reading yesterday and found someone wearing an uber cosy old jumper, I would link to their blog but I forgot to save it and I follow way too many blogs to go through them again. It reminded me of a few I have, passed down from my Mom. She's a hoarder so still has most of her clothes from over the years. A lot of them are about a size 6, but I've managed to steal some things from the late 80's/early 90's.
I think this is my favourite one, it's the perfect size, baggy enough to be warm and cosy but not too baggy to wear outside without people thinking you've just rolled out of bed.

If you follow my twitter, I apologise for all the anger directed at Royal Mail this week. They've lost a few packages I sent out from work and have been absolutely useless. It came to a head today when I had a proper shouting argument on the phone for about half an hour.. the guy I was speaking to was pathetic! But finally got my claims form sorted!

Face: Clinique Redness Solutions Daily Protective Base, Estee Lauder Double Wear, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle, Bourjois blusher in Peach Glow.
Eyes: Mac 6 Twists Of Tartan eye shadow palette, Illamasqua Precision Liner, Maybelline Volum Express x3 mascara.
Lips: Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick in Passion.

The light was quite good this morning so my pictures aren't too bad but I have the next few days off so I'm going to try and combine the advice you lot emailed to me to sort out a way to fix them on the darker mornings. Thanks for all of your help!

These Grey Days

Dress: Asos. Cardigan: H&M. Snood: Asos.
Ribbed Leggings: Zara. Ring: Vintage.

I got this dress ages ago but forgot I had it, It's way too big for me but I'm liking the baggy look at the moment, it also allows for layering about 5 million layers underneath. This is my favourite cardigan, H&M is so good for basics, this is a great length and so soft, I need to get it in a few more colours too.

I bought some hair dye yesterday so be expecting a new colour when I have time to do it :) I get bored and change my hair colour every few months. I didn't like the black though, so I won't be going there again!

Forever 21 opens in Birmingham on Friday, so I'm planning on taking a trip to meet my friend from Uni and going for Nandos and a good old rummage. I've looked on the American F21 site for years but obviously haven't wanted to pay the shipping fees. I'm hoping the prices won't have risen for the English stores. I'll try and take a few snaps to let you know what it's like next week.

It's becoming harder and harder to take photos on days when I'm working. I leave before it's properly light and it's pitch black when I get home. If anyone can help me with getting better lighting without using harsh flash, can you email me ohreally91@hotmail.co.uk thanks!

Winter Winds

Shirt: Dorothy Perkins. Jeans: Dorothy Perkins. Coat: Topshop.
Ring: Asos. Earrings: Courtesy of Gogo Phillip.

My Mom and I bought this coat between us in the Topshop sale months ago, but this is the first time I've ever warn it, I really like the shape of the shoulders and the arm length, but it could do with being a bit more fitted. I bought this shirt years ago and I've warn it to death! It's a great oversized shape but seems to make me look a bit pregnant in these pics. Someone asked me which jeans these were when I last posted them, they're the Super Skinny style from Dorothy Perkins.

The lovely lovely Amy, who I met at the Tesco event, sent me these gorgeous earrings from the company she works at, Gogo Phillip. It's a pretty new jewellery brand, and is available to buy as a concession in some bigger Topshop stores. These are so perfect for me, simple and a great size.
This is the ring that I was waiting for from Asos, I LOVE IT! It's a gold three finger ring but has black stones in between all the fingers and splits on top. I feel like punching people when I have it on.. don't worry I haven't.. yet!

PS: The title of this post is ridiculously appropriate.. I very nearly blew away today!

Vlog: Asos Haul

I probably won't post every video I do on here so subscribe to my YouTube Channel to see them.

Still not very comfortable in front of the camera but if you like the videos I'll try and do a few more :)
